Opportunity International Hong Kong (OIHK) does not collect personal information unless necessary for our functions and activities. When personal information is collected, individuals should be aware of the following:

• Our organization and how to contact us
• All information can be accessed in a reasonable manner
• Purpose for which we require any information
• The other parties to whom we would have to disclose information.

OIHK does not disclose information to any other organisations unless required in relation to the primary purpose. We do not release any information for matters such as direct marketing, and do not sell any mailing lists.

OIHK undertakes best endeavours to keep all information secure. Electronic data, kept on our computers, is backed up regularly. Our physical files are stored in premises that are secured by locked doors, and security alarms.

Due to the nature of the OIHK activities – mainly charitable and personal service, we sometimes collect sensitive and confidential information. The only reason we will release any information is in connection with our primary activities, or related to the primary purpose, and only if it would be a reasonable expectation to disclose the information. The release of certain information may be a legal requirement.

If any information is to be published, or released publicly, we shall gain individual permission for that purpose.
